William Street Festival
When it comes to Sydney fashion, William Street is an undeniable icon. So when the 100 Squared Group launched the William Street Festival in October 2009, we knew it would become an instant success—and a thriving annual tradition.
For one day each spring, the William Street precinct transforms into a community festival for all things fashion. Packed with installations, special offers, food and the eclectic local energy, the event draws thousands of people to Paddington to celebrate Sydney’s shopping and spirit.
Fringe Bar Markets
Launched in September 2007, Fringe Bar Markets was a weekly boutique market showcasing the work of up-and-coming Australian designers and vintage collectors.
Fringe Bar Markets quickly drew the attention of designers and consumers alike. For designers, it was a premier retail location for establishing their brands and, in many cases, a launch-pad to exhibiting at Australian Fashion Week. For the thousands of shoppers who poured in each Saturday, Fringe Bar Markets was the leading retail venue for discovering the latest in local design.
The Fringe Bar received a City of Sydney Business Award in 2008, selected by the Paddington Business Partnership for its outstanding community participation and contribution. It was also selected as a satellite event for IMG’s Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival 2008.
